1. Who may apply?

Persons or groups with a new or emergency idea, which could not have been funded under our regular funding cycle,  who wish to provide community-based social services. The purpose of the proposed program should be to serve unmet or emergency needs of residents.

2. What are the qualifications?

The following qualifications are required:

1. The program is designated for either new (less than 1 year) agencies, existing agencies with a new or emergency project, or those individuals/groups in the idea phase.
2. An agency must have 501(c)(3) status, but does not yet need to have the other qualifications necessary for the regular funding process. Those in the idea phase, if funded, will need to obtain 501(c)(3) status within the first year of operation.
3. The need for the proposed service within township borders must be demonstrated.
4. The agency or group is encouraged to cooperate with other agencies to ensure New Trier Township coverage.

3. If approved, are we eligible for future funding or is this a one-time grant?

Agencies may apply for a second year allocation through our regular Township funding cycle. Funding recommendations will be made by the applicable committee. Note that first year receipt of the Township Off-Cycle/New Funding Program does not ensure future support during  the regular program funding cycle.
